インド東部の伝統的な古典舞踊を体験できる「インド舞踊イベント（オディシャ舞踊公演）」を開催いたします。 
オディシャ舞踊（オリッシー舞踊）は、インド東部ベンガル湾に面するオディシャ州を中心に発展してきたインド6大古典舞踊の一つです。
紀元前1世紀頃に起源を持ち、寺院の彫刻のように美しく折り曲げられる「トリバンガ（三曲）」の姿勢や、優雅な上半身の動きと力強い足のステップから「生きた彫刻」とも称されています。 
本イベントでは、本学の学生・教職員をはじめ、地域の皆様にインドの華麗で奥深い伝統文化に触れていただけます。

We are pleased to host an Indian dance event featuring a performance of Odissi dance, a traditional classical dance form from eastern India.
Odissi dance is one of India’s six major classical dance forms, having developed primarily in the state of Odisha, located along the Bay of Bengal in the east of the country.
With origins dating back to around the 1st century BCE, it is often described as "living sculpture" due to its graceful upper-body movements, powerful footwork, and the distinctive *Tribhanga* (triple-bend) posture—a pose as beautiful as the figures found in temple sculptures.
This event offers students, faculty, staff, and local community members a wonderful opportunity to experience the splendor and depth of Indian traditional culture.

インドを代表する古典舞踊のひとつ、オディッシーの魅力を堪能できる華やかな舞台です。
神々への祈りを捧げる「マンガラチャラナ」、旋律とリズム、優美な動きが織りなす「パッラヴィ」、ラーマーヤナの物語を描く「カイバルタ・プラサンガ」、そして『ギータ・ゴーヴィンダ』より、クリシュナ神とゴーピーたちの神聖な愛を表現する「チャンダナ・チャルチタ」の4演目を披露します。
伝統と美、物語性に彩られたオディッシーの世界を、ぜひお楽しみください。

About the Odissi Dance Troupe led by Shri Gauri Shankar Dash
This is a spectacular performance showcasing the allure of Odissi, one of India's premier classical dance forms.
The program features four distinct pieces: "Mangalacharana," an invocation offered to the deities; "Pallavi," a dance weaving together melody, rhythm, and graceful movement; "Kaivarta Prasanga," which depicts a story from the *Ramayana*;
and "Chandana Charchita" (from the *Gita Govinda*), an expression of the divine love shared between Lord Krishna and the Gopis.
