宇宙物理に関わるトピックスをブラジルから来日中の女性研究者の方にお話しいただきます。宇宙物理学（とくに中性子星）にまつわる興味深い内容をわかりやすい英語で紹介していただきます。学部・学科を問わず多くの学生の皆さんのご参加をお待ちしています。

概要
【セミナー概要】 A neutron star was first detected as a pulsar in 1967. It is a compact object with a radius of about 10 km and a mass of the order of 1.4 times the solar mass. It is one of the mysterious objects in the universe. Last year, a gravitational wave was detected and its source was identified as the merger of two neutron stars. The same event was seen in X-ray, gamma-ray, UV, IR, radio frequency and even in the optical region of the electromagnetic spectrum, starting the new era of multi-messenger astronomy. To understand neutron stars, an appropriate equation of state has to be used and we now have very good constraints to determine it.
