「第７回HiSEP特別セミナー(2015.12.11)」 開催のお知らせ
インドからお招きした外国人研究者による、理学（物理分野）に関わる英語セミナーです。英語スキルアップをめざして、理学部のみならず、文系学部学生の皆さんの参加、発言にも期待しています。
下記の日程で、第７回HiSEP特別セミナーを開催致します。
理学部1～2年生を対象とした、グローバル教育としてのセミナーです。理学の内容に加えて、「インド」について、いろいろな面からご紹介いただく予定です。学部・学科を問わず、関心・興味ある方のご参加をお待ちしております。

「Nuclear shapes and symmetries」

概要：
Nuclei exist in a variety of shapes e.g. spherical, prolate, oblate and triaxial. The underlying symmetry gives rise to conserved quantities which can be observed experimentally. The definite parity of the nuclear energy state is due to the mirror reflection symmetry. However, the handedness, also called the chirality, is a weak symmetry. The exact chiral geometry can be realized for the specific class of nuclear systems. Even for such systems chiral behavior can appear and disappear again. In this regard, some of unanswered questions will be addressed towards the end of this talk.
