Qualifications for Admission

1. General selection

Master’s Course
  1. A person who has graduated from university
  2. A person who has been conferred with a bachelor’s degree
  3. A person who has completed 16 years of school education in a foreign country
  4. A person who has taken subjects in Japan in a correspondence course provided by a foreign school, and has completed 16 years of such school education provided by the foreign school
  5. A person designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
  6. A person who is at least 22 years old and is deemed to have academic ability equivalent or superior to persons who have graduated from university through an individual qualification examination for admission by this Graduate School of Science and Engineering
Doctoral Course
  1. A person who holds a master’s degree
  2. A person who has been conferred in a foreign country with a degree equivalent to a master’s degree
  3. A person who has taken subjects in Japan in a correspondence course provided by a foreign school and has been conferred with a degree equivalent to a master’s degree
  4. A person designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
  5. A person who is at least 24 years old and is deemed to have academic ability equivalent or superior to persons who hold a master’s degree through an individual qualification examination for admission by this Graduate School of Science and Engineering

2. Entrance examinations for members of society and science and engineering teachers

A person eligible for an entrance examination shall be a person who is a researcher/engineer working with a company or the like as a full-time employee, or a person who is a science/engineering teacher at a junior high school, high school, technical college, or the like. The person shall maintain the present position even after entering the school and shall have received approval from his/her immediate supervisor for taking the entrance examination. The person must fall under any of the requirements for the general selection described above.
