留学生が着付けで華やかに　着物で日本文化を体験

1月7日（日）、今年で8回目となるさいたま観光国際協会主催の着物着付け体験会に本学留学生7名が参加しました。振り袖や袴の着付け、髪結いなど本格的な和装と初詣体験ができることから毎年留学生に人気のあるイベントです。

大宮・氷川神社、呉竹荘にて、着物をまとった留学生は、茶道、風呂敷包み、初詣などの日本文化を体験しました。参加者の男子学生は袴を、女子学生は着物の着付けに合わせた日本らしい髪結いを髪飾りやかんざしなどで華やかに彩ってもらい、その美しさに感動していました。

7 International students joined “Kimono Try-on Session” held on January 7th, 2018, hosted by Saitama Tourism and International Relations Bureau IEC (International Exchange Center). It is very popular from the fact that students can do full-scale Kimono experience with hairdressing, wearing a hakama.

At Hikawa Shrine, Kuretakesou in Omiya, the students experienced tea ceremony, furoshiki wrapping and first visit of the year to Hikawa (so-called ‘Hatsu-moude’) in their Kimono. The participants were not only female but also male students who wore Hakama. Female students were impressed with the Japanese traditional coiffure that matches Kimono and the beauty of hair ornaments.
