カールトン大学総長が山口学長を表敬訪問“Courtesy Call to SU President by Provost of Carleton University”

3月13日（月）、カールトン大学（カナダ）の Peter Ricketts総長が Diana Mackayグローバルアカデミー事務局長、David T. Lau 教授と共に山口学長を表敬訪問しました。本交流は、1980年代、米国カリフォルニア大学に留学中であった山口学長がLau教授（現在、東京工業大学客員教授）と培った友人関係から発展しました。本学からは、野中国際企画室長、国際企画室長沢准教授が同席し、今後の実質的な交流開始に向け、活発な意見交換が行われました。
On March 13th 2017, Dr. Peter Ricketts, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), Carleton University (hereafter CU), Canada, made a courtesy visit to Dr. Hiroki Yamaguchi, President of SU with Ms. Diana Mackay, Executive Director for Global Academy and Prof. David T. Lau, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Prof. Nonaka, Director, Office of International Affairs attended together with Assoc. Prof. Nagasawa, International Office. This event became possible based on the friendship between President Yamaguchi and Prof. Lau (currently a visiting professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology) since 1980s when they met at University of California. The participants actively exchanged views on the future collaboration between CU and SU on cooperative research and student exchange etc.
