FACULTY OF EDUCATION

The Faculty of Education was reorganized into three courses in April 1999. The Training Course for School Teachers, the Training Course for Specialists of Lifelong Education, seeking to foster talented individuals to meet the new study requirements of adult education and lifelong sports and the Human Developmental Studies Course, providing training aimed at supporting local psychology and welfare programs. In all three courses, students acquire basic as well as specialist knowledge and skills. The Training Course for School Teachers centers on school education while the Training Course for Specialists of Lifelong Education and the Human Developmental Studies Course focus on adult education and counseling. Students receive fundamental social education both theoretically and practically.
With unique screening systems for recommended examinees, the Training Course for Specialists of Lifelong Education admits by examination a certain number of third-year students who wish to transfer to Saitama University. In April 1996, a Special Training Course for Teachers of Individuals with Disabilities was also established for specialists in emotional disorders.
