This graduate school is unique insofar as many of its students are working adults who are trying to compile their academic research into graduate dissertations and earn degrees (master’s or doctoral) while working full-time. This is neither a conventional graduate school that serves as an institution for cultivating scholars nor a career-development graduate school of the type that has emerged in recent years, such as business schools and vocational graduate schools. Rather, it is a graduate school where working adults can conduct academic research.
By combining their interests in topics that they have encountered in the world outside of the university, such as in a company or overseas, with proper academic research methods, we help ensure that their research is grounded in reality and that they are able to produce advanced and uncompromising academic results that can then be applied back to their everyday lives. We think that this is an admirable pursuit and fully support the efforts of these students. To this end, we have added experts from the front lines of participating government institutions and industry to our team of guest instructors and lecturers.
We look forward to welcoming you to this graduate school and sincerely hope that you will join us in the exciting work that is happening here.
