Prospective Students

Our master’s and doctoral programmes invite government policymakers and the most upper-level managers in the business world to serve as guest instructors and lecturers, allowing them to work jointly with the graduate school’s own professors to offer education and research guidance that combines both practical and academic approaches.
In the master’s programme, students generally complete their master’s dissertations within two years, and those who pass their final dissertation interview exams are awarded master’s degrees (in economics). Graduate students who study in this programme come from a diverse array of workplaces, including private companies, government agencies, private think tanks, research institutes, and financial institutions (banks, securities brokerages, etc). This is a place where graduate students can stimulate one another through peer communication and research meetings, often leading to the formation of lifelong friendships.
On the other hand, the doctoral programme offers a support system that helps students write their doctoral dissertations in an outstanding research environment with a diverse and specialised staff and TSC. The proportion of students who complete the doctoral programme in this exceptional research environment is maintained at more than 75% of all students who are enrolled in the programme. In the seven years since it was established, the doctoral program has awarded doctoral degrees to 36 students (including three international students).

The Graduate School of Economic Science also offers a non-degree research student programme that allows individuals who hope to conduct research on specific subjects in which they majored at the master’s or higher level to receive research guidance from academic advisors.
